We are a leading local provider of outsourced IT services to small and medium sized business and organizations in the greater Washington, D.C. area are seeking candidates to fill the position of Part-Time Junior Field IT Support Technician.

The position requires a heavy focus on customer service skills, attention to detail and a positive, “can do” attitude. Local travel is also required. Being able to communicate effectively both written and verbal is critical.
 
 
Requirements:

Pluses:
  • A+, MCP or 1 to 2 years equivalent desktop support experience in a Microsoft Windows networking environment.

 Job Description:
 
Selected candidate will travel locally to client sites, and occasionally support systems via remote access tools.  Chosen candidate must be able to effectively deal with many corporate cultures, diverse personalities and differing priorities.  Selected candidate must demonstrate outstanding customer service and strong communication skills with different levels of management. Selected candidate must be resourceful and responsive in dealing with clients, regardless of whether a problem can be resolved immediately.  Chosen candidate must be proactive in organizing client’s report status and providing immediate or daily feedback to senior staff, especially regarding unresolved issues. Candidate must be willing to request assistance from senior staff when all other avenues have been exhausted in resolving outstanding issues.

Compensation:

$10 - $15 per hour, depending on experience. Local travel/mileage will be reimbursed.

Schedule:

20 hours per week.  Preferred is 4 hours per day, 5 days per week sometime during our business hours of 8:30 am to 5:30 PM. We may also consider 4 days per week at 5 hours per day. We can be somewhat flexible with the right candidate.
